Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026.
SetupMotion ("we", "us"), a studio in the United States and Turkey, runs this website. This policy explains what personal data we collect through setupmotion.com and our QR video manual pages, and how we use it. Contact: hello@setupmotion.com.
What we collect
- Contact and sample requests: the name, email address, company, product link, languages and message you enter in our form, and which link brought you to our site (campaign tags in the link, the referring website and the first page you opened). We use them only to answer you and to prepare your sample or quote. When you send the form, we email you one short confirmation; it is not a mailing list.
- Clients: the contact, billing and project details needed to deliver and invoice our work.
- Website and QR page statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views, countries, devices and referring sites without cookies and without tracking you across other websites.
- Product analytics: we use PostHog (data stored in the European Union) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and approximate location from your IP, performance, errors, and anonymised session replays in which typing into fields is masked. We use it only to improve our own website; we do not use it to track you across other websites or sell it. PostHog sets cookies or similar local storage on your device for this. If you visit from the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland or Turkey, it runs only after you accept it in the banner. Everywhere, you can opt out with your browser's "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" setting, or by emailing us.
- Call bookings: if you book a call, Cal.com handles the booking: your name, email address, the time you pick and anything you add.
- WhatsApp: our WhatsApp button is a plain link. Only when you tap it does WhatsApp (Meta) open, under its own privacy terms; you can change the greeting it fills in before you send it.
- Payments: payments are handled by our payment provider (for example Stripe or PayPal). We do not see or store your full card details.
Who processes data for us
Cloudflare (website hosting and statistics), PostHog (product analytics, stored in the EU), our form provider Web3Forms (delivers form messages to our inbox), Google and Resend (email), Cal.com (call bookings), and our payment provider. They process data on our behalf and only for these purposes. Some of them are in the United States.
Why we may use it
To answer your request or perform a contract with you, and where the law allows it, our legitimate interest in running and improving our business. If you are in the EU or UK, these are the legal bases we rely on.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that don't become projects: up to 24 months. Client and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or to stop contacting you, at any time by email. Every marketing email we send includes a way to opt out. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law) you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We do not sell personal data.
QR video manual pages
Pages opened from a QR code on a product show a video guide. They do not ask for personal data unless the brand adds a link to its own warranty or support page; those pages are run by the brand under its own privacy policy.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page.
